Situated by the river at Chausatti Ghat is Hotel Sita, an ancient and significant place in the city. Its history dates back to the 16th century when Raja Pratapaditya constructed the Ghat. In the 18th century, Raja Digpatiya of Bengal renovated it. The Ghat is named "Chausati Ghat" after the Chausati Devi temple located there. Before this temple, there was the Chausath Yogini Temple in Rana Mahal, designed similarly to the Chausath Yogini Temples in Khajuraho and Jabalpur. When it suffered damage, it was repaired. People believe that praying here can make their wishes come true. Additionally, there's a Kali Devi temple and a memorial for Raja Pratapaditya near a Peepal tree on the Ghat.
